This album was like the earlier on this Web Site reviewed "Jah Jah Will Unite Us" originally released in 1988, thus not one of the latest reggae albums to be released. But although already a decade old, it certainly deserves as well to be mentioned. This album from St. Maarten's Tonca (here still spelled Tounka) and his musical Friends is as much a treat lyrically and musically.

Again all lyrics (6 conscious songs the title song boosting reggae music in general and Tounka's own music especially and one lovers track) are provided in the booklet. All original selections are in the typical Tonca style. Once again the musicians, including real horns, provide a very solid backing with their riddims supporting Tonca's convincing vocals. This is another very strong album by an artist you should all be checking out, if you appreciate conscious lyrics, real horns, and matching riddims.
